About the Role
The Production Engineer at Clarion Casein Ltd. will be responsible for overseeing and supporting manufacturing operations for casein and protein ingredient products. This role is central to maintaining efficient, consistent production in line with Clarion Casein Ltd.'s quality standards and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of food or chemical manufacturing processes, a disciplined approach to SOP adherence and a practical ability to troubleshoot production issues in a plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily production operations for casein and protein ingredient manufacturing
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of volume, quality and schedule
- Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the production floor
- Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, process deviations and equipment issues
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance requirements
- Maintain production records, shift logs and yield documentation accurately
- Support implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure workplace safety standards are followed at all times in the production area
- Liaise with procurement for timely availability of raw materials required for production
Requirements
Bachelor's or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related field
1-4 years of experience in a food or chemical manufacturing environment
Familiarity with production planning and SOP-based operations
Basic understanding of food safety and quality management systems
Hands-on, practical problem-solving approach
Good communication for cross-departmental coordination
Ability to work in shifts as required by production schedule
Experience in dairy or protein manufacturing is an advantage
